"Found it !!!" shouted Brian. They barely went through various difficulties, and there they came to Odori Park. Finally, finally they found the television tower. From here it was the last ordeal for them. If they could put the remedy of Virus 6F3 to the device on top of the TV tower, all of the zombies will return to the human. The tv tower was about one kilometer from where they stood. If they could get through that one kilometer, all could end, and they all could take back their lives. Everyone was relieved of that situation.

“Let’s go! We’re almost there!!" Everyone started running to Brian’s words. But at that moment, the zombies pop out from all directions, and they surrounded them. With a pale, white face, blood-stained zombies came closer to them, step by step. There was no gap to escape. When everyone felt the despair, and their fighting will was almost gone, the face of the people who have sacrificed for the sake of themselves, crossed their mind.

"I don’t want to give up here!” Hannah shouted.

“Yes, she is right. Everyone protected all of us, Kai, Jun, Hiro and Mr. Piazza and all. I came up here with their efforts, but it will be nothing if we give up here. What can we do right now is revive everyone.” Everyone nodded to Ayaha’s words.

“Alright, Let’s kill them!” Everyone jumped into the herd of looming zombies at Brian’s sign. They defeated the zombies one by one, with full strength. Blood gushed from the zombies, and it scattered all over the place, painting the earth bright red. It was a very strange sight. Crowded with people every day, the main street park, which is also the Sapporo center that often visitors came for the healing nature sight. Usually, the sun poured bright around the water fountain, seasonal flowers bloomed in vivid colors. But, the place was just a pool of blood now, the putrefactive odor blood of dead.

Even though few minutes past since they started fighting, the number of zombies did not change. One after another, zombies came to attack them. Everyone, running the whole day fighting the zombies, was close to the physical limit. "Yuri, Hannah, Brian, I’ll keep these zombies here, so go to the TV tower and finish this all!" shouted Ayaha.

"But then you...”  Hannah looks as if she would cry.

"Do not worry about me, I’ll be fine. Just go!” Ayaha said. But her voice was too small, and no one couldn’t understand what she said. But she threw the remedy to Brian. So everyone just understood what she wanted them to do. Brian caught the remedy and went through the herd of zombies, destroying the wall made of zombies with Yuri and Hannah. They looked back behind. Ayaha halted the herd fiercely, splashing zombie blood all around, making huge noises to attract them.

Hannah said, “I should stay and fight with her too! “

“Don’t!! It’s impossible to get the remedy to the top of the tower without you!" Yuri told Hannah and herself and started running again.

They defeated the zombie that appears in front of them and kept running. So they finally arrived at the TV Tower and tried to open the stairs of the door. But the door was tightly locked and could not be opened. Brian tried to break the door, but it didn’t work. At the same time, zombies were coming closer and closer to them from behind. Finally, the zombies jumped on them. Yuri and Hannah struggled as much as they could, to not to get zombies close to Brian. But against dozens of zombies, the two girls were powerless. They soon got pushed back bit by bit.

Meanwhile, Brian searched for the way to go up the tower, beside the stairs. But he couldn’t find any other routes. Since the electricity was dead, they couldn’t use the elevator, either way. All other stairs were locked tightly or destroyed. They ran away from the zombies, giving up on the stairs. Hiding in the shadow of the steel frame of the tower, Brian sighed. “Ahhh, Spider-Man should just be here for us. If he were, he could climb up to the top of the tower so easily…Wait a minute, I got an excellent idea. Yuri, you can climb up this tower!!" Brian thought and asked Yuri. “Yuri, Can you?”

"No way I can! I don't have any ropes or harnesses and...Those protection staffs!!! If I climb, I'm gonna fall off and die.” She said out of breath, panicking.

“Yuri! You can do it! There is no one else who can do this except you. And there is no other way to take back our friends!” Hannah said. Yuri looked around the surroundings. The figure of the friends who fought with many zombies reappeared to her eyes. She realized that she was the only person who could finish this nightmare. So she said,

“Ok, I’m gonna climb up this tower. I’ll make it.“

“We’ll protect you here, we’ll block every zombie that would go after you. Trust us and go.” With an encouragement, Yuri received the remedy from Brian, and she placed it into her pocket. So she began to climb the tower.

At the same time, Ayaha was falling into a plight. She had been bitten by a zombie on her left hand. She was troubled with pain, headache and fever that crawled around her brain with the invading zombie viruses. But still, she was fighting the zombies. Even though she had killed dozens of zombies, hundred and thousands more were still coming to them. She was tired. When she was almost about to give up, the shouting voice of Brian and Hannah reached her ears, from the tower. "Yuri is trying to climb up to the top of the tower now. Have patience for a while longer!” Ayaha looked up at the tower; she saw Yuri's figure, very small, but reaching up to the top certainly. Heartened, with her last power, Ayaha stood straight up and turned on the enemy.

“Too windy...," she muttered. Yuri reached just halfway up the tower, and she was starting to feel terror. When she looked down, she could capture small figures of a zombie group, Brian and Hannah. In the park, she could see Ayaha’s small figure among the zombies. Furthermore, Toyohira River and Nakajima park was there. Would Jun be there? And in the city, hundreds of zombies were wandering. Yuri checked that the medicine was still in the pocket. So she began to climb again, to the summit. However, the wind became stronger and rapider as she reached higher and higher. Now her hand was wearing out, bleeding. Her arms started to swell up, and sharp pains were running through her body. She regretted that she hadn't gone to Rock-climbing club more often. When she sighed at her intense pain, a strong wind blew suddenly. Her hands lifted off from the tower.

Hannah shouted. “Yuriiiiii!!! Watch out!!” Yuri’s body flung down the tower, but suddenly it swung in a great arch. She was caught by the cord, which was hanging down from the tower. As she returned to the steel rod, she reached again, step by step, aiming at the top without seeing the bottom. Brian’s voice reached her ears when she was just about few steps away from the summit. "Don't look back! I couldn’t stop the zombies. They are pursuing and reaching you, hurry! Just climb, and don't look back!”

Yuri reached the tower desperately without seeing her back, hoping for her friends’ safety. Finally, she arrived at the top of the tower. Then she found the device on the top of the tower. The name of David Piazza was carved into the device she found, on the shining metallic surface.

A PIN lock was hanging on the device. Yuri froze, grasping the PIN lock tightly in her palm. She had no clue to the answer. Despair.

Not knowing what to do else, she took out the remedy from her pocket. When Yuri observed the opening of the small flask, she found a message written there; "I offer this remedy to my best fellow.” One name flashed in Yuri’s head. She inputted a code into the devices; “Ethan Salter” .

The device, with a low clicking of gears, sounding like a cry of joy, opened. Yuri tried to put the curative medicine into the device, where a hole shaped like a flask was, and placed it there. It fit perfectly, making a switching sound, as metal arms extended from the device to immobilize the flask.

At that instant, Yuri’s head, in a sudden move , was held back.  Twisted coercively , it made a nasty sound of bones cracking into each other. In pain, Yuri looked back. A zombie has reached from behind. She was desperate and tried to remove the zombie's hand from her neck. But, its power was too strong for her. She extended her trembling fingers to the device. She shut the lid of the device with her mind almost blacking out. The moment she closed the lid of the device, a warm orange, yellow light burgeoned, and covered the city of Sapporo. All the zombies were covered in light. As the light slowly faded in the air, people returned to human being, oddly staring at themselves, unaware of what was happening in the last few hours.

A blue sky appeared, as grayish clouds cleared. All the battles were done.

“All done!!! We did it!! “ Jun shouted, looking up at the sky, lying on the ground. His body was heavy and dull, hurting everywhere, but still he was very satisfied.

“Ahhh..so tired..” Ayaha finally fell on the ground, in relief, released from the zombification fever in her brain. Lying there, she looked up at the sky clearing blue, pleasantly.

“Oh, we made it! We won, yeah!”, Brian was sitting on the ground, shouted in joy. Hannah helped him get up, but soon asked worriedly.

“But wait, where is Yuri? Is she ok? Is she still on the top of the tower??” They looked up at the tower. Yuri poked her head out and waved big at the two on the ground. Another head poked out. The very known face, blond hair and blue eyes, was Mr. Salter. In the tower, Yuri, surprised, jumped back away from him.

The last zombie, who was the last obstacle for Yuri, the last fighter was Ethan Salter. A look of perplexity appeared on Yuri's face. “Why… Mr. Salter? Why did you do this?” Yuri asked. The two of them stood face to face, in the top room of the tower, staring at each other.

“I just wanted to be immortal. But nobody...Nobody understood me. Even David didn’t.” He said in a sorrowful lugubrious voice. Yuri heard it, and she picked out the empty flask from the device. She slowly held it up, to show it to Mr. Salter. “Mr. Salter...you should see this message. This belonged to Mr. Piazza. The “best fellow” is you. This device, made for his best fellow, its password was ‘Ethan Salter’...”  Ethan Salter’s eyes were now a reddish glitter, the zombies’ darkness was gone, opened widely in shock. His eyes were blue, sky blue. Soon, liquid covered its surface, and tears streamed down his cheeks.

Everything was done, now. Yuri looked up the blue sky and smiled, happily in peace.
