Deception of The dragon

The dragon, which got taken the treasures and who flies by night encompassed in fire was the character that i chose for this project. In this story the dragon is villain but when i was reading this part i didn’t think that the dragon isn’t villain, because he killed the people but there is a legitimacy of attacking reason. Based on our definition of hero which is that a hero should be strong. Not just physically but also mentally. As when a hero isn't mentally strong, he won’t be able to help others if he can’t help himself with his own stress or trouble, being mentally strong also means that he is patient, calm, organized and responsible. According to that the dragon won’t be hero, because if this dragon’s deed justified it is not patient, calm and organized, it is villian, like an evil character in the story, an old night-ravager, a murder dragon was fulfilled by Vengeance.

Then why did i think that it wasn’t a villain? As i said, at the beginning of the dragon story, a man robbed a cup which is one of the treasure that the dragon kept in the cave for 300 years, the fiend spouted fire, burned bright houses to find out a man who robbed the treasure. And beowulf who is the king of this country decided to go subdue the dragon with his companions, despite, except one man they afraid to go kill the dragon, beowulf and one man killed the dragon but at the same time beowulf got fatal injury, unfortunately he died.

The most biggest difference between the dragon and beowulf is motivation when they were fighting each other. At this time the dragon is just having a feeling of resentment but beowulf was fighting to protect his country and people. Also i think this is one of the border line of how that person is heroic or not.
